Repeat

I've been listening to "Liar" by Built to Spill a lot over the past couple of days. Probably 8 times in the past 12 hours (and I was just asleep for almost 7).

When things are all you think of,
And plans are all you make,
And thoughts are all you dream of,
And falls are all you take.
Look out, the world's destroyin' ya.
Relax, it isn't fair.
...
I wouldn't be a liar,
No, I wouldn't be a liar if I told you that.
...
It takes up all of your life,
These decisions you make.

Melancholy meaning is everywhere. In an item of clothing I put on this morning. The cab stand I passed on my way to and from buying my coffee. The recycling I just took out. All the things I think of.

Hi Genevieve,

its Ted your old bud from the dj nights and bbqs at ur old place with Lukus etc.... i was just catching up on people through blogs...and I came to yours... So Im reading through and I read your post about the person who recomended Disc golf.... and when i read your original post , the suggestion I gave you in my mind to feel better, was "listen to some Built to Spill", as Ive been listening non stop for the past few days when ever i feel down.... well then i get down to this post about Built to Spill....deeeeeep. any way i just sent my friend some built to spill lyrics today

"when I was a kid I saw a light
flying high above the trees one night
I thought it was an alien
turned out to be just god"

captures Built to spill in a nut shell.

i hope all is well. get that tatoo.

keep on truckin,

peace,

Ted
